The new SC 55 range is the ideal answer to the demands of - simplicity in operation - with a high degree of safety - long durability and low operating cost, all in combination with a low initial investment! The first SC 55 series model is designed for the Chinese market and was launched in June 2011.

Flexible design

The SC55 can be ordered in both dual car and single car configurations and it is also the first Alimak Hek hoist to use the newly developed 550 mast. To suit the different site requirements, the SC 55 is designed with an extensive list of interchangeable door options. These door options include vertical sliding doors, bi-parting doors and salon doors. The doors are built on a modular system enabling easy and quick reconfiguration of the base machine. An operator cabin is standard on the China version. This cabin can also easily be replaced by a control panel if the user prefers not to use the cabin.

Productivity and reliability the best in the Industry

The SC 55 is delivered in a standard configuration with a large 2.5 meter high cage which increases productivity and ease of loading. The inside of the cage is clean with no protruding parts in order to maximize the usable loading space. Electrical panels and wiring are also recessed for maximum reliability and personal safety.

Counterweights are not used on this hoist, in order to increase safety and ease of installation. The design of the base enclosure has been further simplified, in comparison to earlier SC models and now uses 90% less fasteners to ensure fast and simple installations at the construction sites.
 

The SC 55 is also exclusively delivered with cable trolleys - for maximum reliability, extended cable life time and safety. Our “No compromise” design approach in the new SC 55, guarantees our customers maximum personal safety and durability well beyond our competitors.

Life time

To increase the service life and safety of the hoist, Hot-dip galvanizing and Aluzinc are extensively used on critical parts like the mast sections, tie-ins, roof, floor, base and walls. The paint system also exceeds the European requirements and ensures that the SC 55 will always perform in the toughest environmental conditions.

Energy consumption

The state of the art design of the SC 55 has resulted in a light hoist car requiring lower energy consumption. Furthermore the high efficiency bevel gearboxes, keep the energy consumption at lowest levels, making the new SC 55 one of the most environmentally friendly hoists on the market and guarantees that operational cost is kept at a minimum.
